Has anyone tried Reloader 7 in the 25-35 Winchester?

  Thanks for the information I was hoping that someone had tried Reloder 7 in the 25-35 winchester as it does well in the 30-30 and 38-55. The load for the 25-35 would be used in a Model 94 win trails end, if one can be found.

  I just finished with a 25-35 load developement project. My goal was to get a 90g Sierra hpbt to go 2700fps. I tried IMR 3031 and 4320 and could only get 2650fps before getting pressure issues. Varget however did get me a solid 2700fps with 28.7g and no pressure problems. This was being shot out of a modern Falling Block Works action rifle with a new 24" barrel.

  I have used Varget in my 223 rem with excellent results and that is a powder to try but still hoping for a Re7 load, must be someone out there that has tried it?

  I have a 25 Remington which is a ballistic twin to as the 25 -35.
  The only powders I could find to work were IMR3031 and 4320. I used 117 gr spire point bullets but you couldn't us them in the Winchester. As far as I am concerned these guns should be hung on the wall as they are pretty weak for hunting anything bigger than rabbits.

  The 25-35 has been a excellent deer cartridge for years. Like the 30-30 and the 32-40 winchester. It is just a matter of putting the bullet in the right place.
