New member. Need AK-47 identification help!!!

Hi guys/gals. I bought an AK-47 Poly Tech about two years ago. I've been looking at mods but then realized I'm not sure if its a Poly Tech at all. The reciever is stamped with 386 meaning its a pre ban from China, right? But there are no other definitive markings leading me to believe its from China. Its got a 20.6 inch barrel and its milled not stamped. Could it be a replica or what is it?? and if it is a AK-47 Poly Tech is it a legend model and can I add mods to it? (scopes, bayonet, grip, stock)

    Appears to be oneof the origianal Saiga rifles - first broght in in the 90s, takes AK mags, etc. but has hunter style stock. Not the same as currently available Saiga.

    386 inside a cirlce is the production code for Polytech, Peoples Republic of China. I don't know much, but I know my AKs.

    There are some NORINCO "Sporters" out there. Recently got one in the shop - it looks like the SAIGA - has wooden sports rifle furniture, an elongated trigger guard and trigger - to make up for the lack of the hand grip - the length of pull to the trigger is really long. No military features on it. It has all the Chinese stampings - but I'll have to check it for 386 inside circle.

    It has a machined rather than stamped receiver and the trigger assembly hasn't been relocated to the rear as on the Saiga.
    For all intents and purposes, it's an AK without threaded muzzle, dressed to look like a sporter.
    Changes are in trigger, stock, forend, handguard and lack of pistol grip.
    Also, the frame rear is cut differently from the Norinco AKs.

    Your photos stink.

    You need to vacuum your rug.

    You have the rifle so you should be the one that is able to read what make/model it is.

    It is not Saiga. It appears to be a "hunter" model, made in China, most often marked "Norinco Hunter". Nothing special of an AK, not liked by most.

    With my extemely slow dial-up service - the pics have not finished downloading after almost 4 hours. I've really got to try to find a faster connection, this sucks.
