long action? short action?

Can someone tell me if the Remington 700 chambered in 6mm Rem. is a short action or a long action? Thanks.

  Short action. The COL of 2.233" is getting up to the top end of short action, but still there.

  Remington 700 short actions were made to handle COL's up to 2.800. losttrail; You must mean cartridge CASE length.

  Remington puts all their 6mm Rems in a short action.

  It's my personal opinion that this and the .257 should go into the long action like the 8mm. Hard to seat 115's and 120's in the 6mm and .257 respectively out into the lands in short actions.
