Fresh ammo; gun clean; (grip removed for cleaning mechanism) Do these hammers wear to the point they're not hitting the primer hard enough? Or???

  I had a similar problem when I bought a used Sentinel, years ago. The chambers in the cylinder have a tendency to foul very easily depending on the type of ammo used. Some .22 have a very waxy coating. After shooting a couple of cylinders of ammo-18 shots, I would run a .22 bore brush through each individual chamber, this resolved the problem.
