Type 24 Zhongzheng rifle
I have two rifles ( Type 24 Zhongzheng rifle ) pictures attached and an Enfield. Anyone have a clue what it would sell for on gunbroker ? I would appreciate it. Thanks
Enfield Rifle .303 UK MK III. w/Bayonet. A metal band attached to the trigger shows the makers mark and and reads 'G.R. 1917 SHT LE III. It's bayonet and scabbard have identical makers marks.[img][/img]http://gallery.me.com/ivme
Type 24 Zhongzheng rifle has a serial number of O 5596, the owner carved his initials ( in chinese ) into the rifles butt followed by a chinese symbol looking like a open book centered on a handle. At the top of the barrel it is
marked " C.A.I. S.I. A.L.B. VT. " followed by " M98 CHINA 7.92 CAL

Chinese Mauser rifles were known to be used during the Korean war but were as rare as hen's teeth. I never saw one in the Division.
8mm Mauser ammo was also used in the Czech BRNO light machine gun.
