Ranger 410 Double Barrel Shotgun
Can anyone tell me who made this gun. I can not find a serial # on the barrel or near the trigger. Could it be located somewhere else. I would also like to know its approximate value assuming it is used, but in good condition. [:)]

Ranger was a Trade Name used by Sears & Roebuck on firearms they sold. My WAG is that your shotgun was actually made by Savage for S & R. 0 -
Marlin made alot of doubles for Sears but all the ones I saw made by them had a model number. Savage-Stevens also made Rangers and I would also guess thats who made yours. I see 'em at gun shows for $500-$600 in decent condition. 0 -
There were two series of shotguns with the name Ranger. If the name has a model number (or catalog number) following the name, it was sold by Sears Roebuck & Co and made by Meridian Fire Arms, Iver Johnson's Arms & Cycle Works, Stevens Arms & Tool Co,or Harrington & Richardson Arms Co. If there is no numbers following the name the gun was made by the H W Cooey Machine & Arms Co of Canada (single barrel guns), Harrington & Richardson Arms Co (hammerless single barrel), Iver Johnson's Arms & Cycle Works (again single barrels), Meridian Fire Arms Co, J. Stevens Arms & Tool Co (on hammerless doubles) and Zulu type single barrels single shots converted by Jules Kaufmann & Co. I have to assume these were also sold by Sears. 0
