7MM Nambu brass and bullet help

Can you make 7MM Nambu brass from some other parent case? Where would one find bullets and load data?

    Hi,

    7mm Nambu cases can be made from cutting off and reforming 30 M1 carbine brass. A set of custom dies will be needed unless you can find a used set. These can be found but are expensive.

    The bullet is 56 grains and is 0.280 diameter. Lyman molding block #280468 would work if you can find a used one. I don't believe they make them any more.

    Heavyiron is steering you right. As far as the mold, put the number he gave you in the want ads of all the gun forums. I aquired an obsolete mold for a Japanese 11mm Murata by doing so.

    I will not give out second hand reloading information on the forum. The 7mm Nambu was never commercially manufactured by any company that I am aware of. All production was military. Therefore, there is no "safe" load listed in any of the reloading manuals that I am familiar with.

    I will say, the factory load was 3 grains of some type of powder, but what powder I do not know.

    There are some references on the internet for you to find that will provide a hint of how to reload for this cartridge, but doing so is your responsibility.
