Does anyone have any knowledge of and/or any information that possibly may be helpful? Where would be the best places to research? to the
I have the all original paperwork,along with the wood box. It has never been fired. It has a blue finish,pewter stock and is inlaid w/ gold.
I guess what I am asking is how would I best find out more regarding any history.

These "special issue" guns are normally no more valuable than the standard gun. Just being an unfired, in the box, Colt .45 makes it worth at least $700-$800 range. This edition may have some additional value, but I don't know enough to tell you. Someone with knowledge of this edition should be on here and should answer your question. 0 -
Hello I dont want to come across a wise guy but Special Edition Colts IMHO and others Have NO history and are only Special to the bean counters at Colt. At one time colt sold more of these pistols then the plain Jane models each year. If you like it that is great and I suggest you use it keep it in the best condition you can and it will remain a NICE LOOKING pistol you can be proud of. 0 -
That rare (if) in 99-100% condition would bring amybe $1200 if sold retail.
But frankly, I don't see a Panama pistol in the list of Colt Commemoratives. I wonder if it is from Auto Ordinance? If that is the case, we need to start over. Read up on how to post pictures, then put one up.0
