marlin 336CB in 38-55 info.
i just got a marlin 336CB in 38-55 with smooth stock,no checkering . 24 inch octigon barrel, strait butt stock,no pistol grip. in the box in ex con. along with a lyman 66la peep sight. any one know when made or how they shoot?, i have a 1894 38-55 i shoot with the 220 hornady fp .375 and it shoot super. can i expect the marlin to do the same? thangs eastbank.

The Marlin is a much better designed action than the Winchester 94. Yo;ur gun should be at least as accurate as the 94, will be much easier to properly clean and maintain, and won't develop the excess headspace that 94s do. 0 -
this rifle is the newly made 336 cow boy in 38-55,i shot it yesterday and it shot a 3 shot group of about one inch at 50 yds with a lyman 66 reciever sight and a 220gr FP hornandy with 35 grs imr 3031. eastbank. 0
