Ruger Redhawk .357 #KRH-355

Hello!

I am trying to find out a fair price for the following:

Ruger Redhawk .357
Dual Action Revolver 5 1/2 inch barrel
Stainless Steel
Adjustable sights
Catalog #KRH-355

I know this item is rare, and there were only about 5000 of them ever made. [:D]

This has been well taken care of, works great and only had (less than) 500 rounds through it. I am the original owner, and purchased it in 1985.

Some may say it's a virgin gun, since there has been such little use.

I appreciate your knowledge and information!

    Do you have the original box? That would make some difference to a Ruger collector.

    Yes, the original box is here, in mint condition...yellowish goldish in color along with the outer manufacturers (cardboard)box with the gun info stamped on it. Everything is in mint condition, it also has the original rosewood handle boxed away seperately...perfectly mint...never used...I had the handle replaced with a Pachmeyer (sp?) grip when I purchased everything.

    when you list it for sale don't use the term "dual action" or "handle" in the ad![;)]

    Ok, but why not?

    I'm obviously not a collector like the rest of you, just bought it for home protection, and now time to get rid of it.

    Used, Original .357mag. Ruger Redhawk 5.5", KRH-355, Original box and shipper.

    Take some good pictures of the Redhawk, and boxes. Boxes are very important, show the end label on the box and stamps on the shipper.

    Put the original grips back on.
    All Redhawks are double action.
    All 357 Redhawks are Stainless Steel. (5.5" & 7.5")
    All Redhawks have adjustable sights.

    Your Ruger collector will know all this.

    Put it on GunBroker with a starting bid of $600. It should do well. Not to many out there with the original box and shipper marked to the gun.

    I traded on a while back. I did have it up for sale and didnt get more then 300 offered for it for sale but then i offered a trade option in the auction side and got alittle more then 700 worth of trade for it. just a thought for you

    Proper terminology would be, "double action" instead of dual action. All Redhawks are double action, so that may be a given. The Rosewood "handles" are actually called "grips".

    Everybody doesn't know the terminology and that is why the experts are here, to help you out and most are absolutely happy to do it![:)]

    +1 on the $700-$750 figure.........
