i would like some help please
i would like to know the year my inherated (sp) pre mod 34 smith and wesson was made.
ser number is 297xx 2 inch barrel 22 long rifle revolver. i think it is an early made, as it has the flat latch release.

It was made in 1955-56. It should be a three screw model. 0 -
it has adjustable sights, and is a 2 screw unless the grips are covering a screw. it's a model 34 but not marked as such. 0 -
The grips cover the bottom screw. There were only very few made with fixed sights, very rare. 0 -
