35 Remington T/C
Is it legal to silence a T/C barrel in Indiana? If so Where do I send the Barrel to have the end threaded? I use it for varmits and do not like scaring the neighbors.

Come on now a .35 Remington for varmints!!!!!!!! What varmints do shoot a 35 Remington at??? If your shooting varmints a .22 would be more than enough in most instances. It is a lot more quiet than a 35 Remington. You will have to pay $200.00 to the Feds to register it, than the actual cost of a suppressor. Just about any gunsmith can thread a barrel or if you have a buddy that works in a machine shop that is always beneficial. 0 -

Thank you, that is what I wanted to know. I have coyotes stalking my Dogs. They sneak in across an empty field in broad daylight. I am able to spot them at 300 yards and shoot at them 100 yards out.I was weighing out the price of silencing the 35 verses purchasing a 22-250, 223 or 243 w/ scope. I do not think a 22 will be effetive or accurate at that range. When they get inside a100 yards they are hard to see because of trees. Either way, nothing I can do with the noise. 0 -

First things first, WELCOME TO THE FUNNY FARM! - - uh, I mean forum.
Use your 35 Rem, it will do the job as is.
Set up a good rest so your barrel muzzle is about 1 foot inside your house. Shooting thru an open window with a 6" crack will keep most of the noise inside. BE DAMED sure you have hearing protection on!
Next door neighbors will hear very little if any noise. What they may hear will sound like you dropped something.
It is amazing how much shock/noise the average house will absorb, try a test run on a target at the desired range with a friend shooting & you outside.
