Hello , I have a Ruger
Security six with a ser #
157-xxxxx and this series
of numbers doesn't seem to fit
in the website serial # history
for DOM-any ideas

As the first Security Six manufactured in 1981 was a relatively high number (156-94383) and the first one in 1982 was 158-12020, I would think 1981 included the 157 series. You can call Ruger at 603-865-2442 and they will provide the exact date for you.
