A lot of it also depends upon who built the stamped recievers, ands who the final assembler was. the stamped akm rifle is the most widely used military small arms weapon period and due to the evidence of kills and woundings attained by this rifle used under sometimes horrendous conditions, but still being accurate, durable and reliable even though being often used by poorly educated and poorly trained soldiers; it has more than proven itself time and time again and is a truly venerable firearm.
the point of the milled vs. stamped argument is simply a moot point unless the person is going to use it as a pry bar or something as stated before and even then a stamped akm should still perform well as steel is still steel, one way to find out for sure though is to perform stress tests of varying degree on both receiver types and see for yourself. some stress tests that could be performed could include:
bending in a vice using a chain, hammering, driving over, dropping from a considerable height, cutting, etc, just to name a few, (roll eyes).

yeah right, first of all i never once asked for any opinions, after all opinions are like certain body parts that everyone has; i asked for thoughts on the subject and before you go around calling people little nonsense names and attempting to insult them, claiming to have so much experience and insinuating that you are so analytical etc you might want to learn first of all how to spell and use proper sentence structure and i am not even going to bother with 'afre', as i speak several languages and still couldn't figure that one out.
as for being concerned about what you think etc i don't know you and could really care less, obviously you think very highly of yourself.
i never claimed to be an expert just shared the fact that i have several weapons including the one that was mentioned with more than enough experience so don't you worry about it.

To open a second post of the exact same subject you need to bring up new information or ask additional (and new questions). You already stated that you are not looking for opinions and since you claim to know all about the history and operation of the Kalashnikov series of rifles, all I see here in the second post is your attempt to get the final word on the subject as well as run down a few of our members in the process. 0 -

Actually i did in fact add some information, but you must have skipped that and

You are even taking stabs at Mark, and Mark is one of the most knowledgable peersons in the industry, and history of firearms...so that obviously points to ignorance, and arrogance...no matter what language you are speaking.
When I was talking about budgets for testing, I was only referring to your stated information about some famous publication where testing was done. Most of the testing done in those books/magazines are paid for by advertisers. What better way to get market share, than test your gun so it comes out on top of your competitors? Think about it...its not that hard, or do you need it written in another language?
Also if you do understand the history of the AKM, then you do realize the first production ones were milled, because of the lack of expertise, and machinery to stamp the parts needed. Once the gun was proven, and every block country wanted one, then the stamping expertise was developed, but some are still milled today, as you stated to your bulgarian police[:D]..sorry Mark.

Did you bother going back and looking at your part one thread? Did you see where you replied to most everyone, and picked apart their opinion after you asked for it...or did you bleep them?
I will tell you that i have had to rebuild the rails on two of my PolyTech stamped rifles. They both had over 20k rounds thru them when they failed. As for owning all types of Kaleshnikov rifles...you can not count all of them in my safe on all your digits, and there are several AR type rifles in there too, so yes I do have experience, as none of the rifles are safe queens...they have all been fired.
The difference in the smoothness of the actions between the stamped and milled reciever AK's is like comparing a RIA 1911 to a Wilson 1911.
I never proclaimed to be the best, but once again, you asked for an opinion, then became beligerant. I assume if that procedure is held to that you most likely will not be on the boards very long here...I have seen many of your type come and dissappear...all of a sudden too. So all I am asking of you to do is look back at your first thread, and read all of your posts, then read the forum rules...kinda be nice to keep you around for a bit...even though this belongs in the General discussion.
