Remington Model 4, American Boy Scout

First of all I'd like to say hello to everyone. I'm new here. My question has been partly addressed by another in the past. However, I was hoping to expand on the topic. Classic posted some figures about the value of the Remington Model 4 in percentages depending on condition. He also stated that an American Boy Scout version would be considerably more in value. Well, I stumbled across an American Boy Scout model, but it looks pretty rough. What would the value on a guy like this be? If someone could give me an idea it would assist me in deciding to make a purchase or not.

  Hello IMHO while the pictures show a rifle far from mint it is in good enough shape that it can be a very nice piece to have . It needs some TLC but at the same time no overzealous attempts to be made to look new.The cracked stock needs to be removed and crack repaired WITHOUT sanding or removing the patina that is present . A skilled craftsman can almost make it disappear. If you could take some in focus close-ups of roll mark on the barrel many of us would love to see them.

  These aren't very good shots, but it is all I have right now. I appreciate your comments and experience. This guy want to trade for a TV I am selling. I figure it would be nice to have a little piece of history. Could you also tell me what I could do for the stock or who might be able to repair it? It is said to have only light surface rust. I would like to clean it up are you able to provide any specific details or reference books to get started. I will get the weapon in probably tomorrow if the trade goes well.
