MARLIN 81 WILL NOT EJECT

I have a Marlin model 81 that will fire but will not eject the round. Does anyone know why this will not eject. The gun seems to have alll internal parts, and has a clen bore. Any help or information will be helpful.

  marlin often uses a spring type ejector on this model. i suspect it is bent. it is an easy fix.

  Check for burr, caused by dry firing, on mouth of chamber.

  Hello SCPO RICE - The 81's have an extra "bump" on the back left of the cartridge carrier that flips the case out as the bolt is fully withdrawn. It can get bent and/or busted, or the spring that lifts it can be lame. The illustration in this link is upside down, so look at the bottom middle. GoodLuck - RounderRick
