Luigi Franchi Shotgun Help!!

Hey guys, I have a Luigi Franchi Model 48Al 20 ga.made in Brescia Italy. Beautiful little shotgun, MINT condition and nice and light. The question I have is this...In the Blue Book of GV's it has the Franchi 48AL listed as having VR barrels standard. Mine does not have the Vent Rib bbls but rather a plain barrel with sight at the end. It also states that it weighs 6 lbs and I don't think mine weight anywhere close to that. I am looking to place it on GB for sale but want to make sure I am getting the correct value. any help would be appreciated

    If anything shotguns with standard barrels, i.e. without a vent rib, are considered basic field models. If all other things are equal, worth less dinero.

    Many years ago I had a 12 gauge Franchi. It was a semi-auto with a aluminum alloy receiver actuated by the Browning long recoil mechanism. OK as a field gun, not something you would want to use for shooting up a case of clays.

    If yours weighs less then 6 lbs, it would be in the same category. Price it so a hunter who does a lot of walking but little shooting will scoop it up.

    I got one in 20 ga. for my son when he was starting to show intrest in hunting,after i shot it to try it out i knew he would not like it,nice and light but kicked like the south end of a north bound Mule.Never had a 20 kick like that one before.
