state lines and ftf

i knooooow someone here knows (whas up) when making a ftf tradeout,hand gun or rifle, between oregon and washington ,what are some of the particulars?thanks,rusobr2

    1), It's not legal, no way, no how.

    2), Once you start posting to the net, everybody and his brother in law, knows about it! Not a good idea nowadays.

    FTF is only legal IN state. End of story on FTF.

    You can legally buy transfer rifles in any state though an FFL. You can not buy transfer pistols out of state, even though an FFL. You can have a pistol shipped to your in state FFL for legal transfer though.

    Then that is buying a pistol in your state. But I understand your point.

    The magic word here if you haven't gotten it is "State lines". That's when the Fed's can technically step in and regulate. That is also why a FTF can still be done handgun or rifle within "State Lines".

    Hint: The Feds govern 'interstate' and the states govern 'intrastate'. So unless there is a state law that prohibits trading of firearms in FTF deals you can do that. One such state of communism all to itself is Chicago.
