Winchester Question

Not sure if this is a stupid question or not, but anyway, I was going thru my fathers gun cabinet and came across a Winchester model 65, It said it was a 30 WCP of 30WCF caliber. Is this possible as I cannot find any in the Blue Book that say such a caliber. The gun is in 90-95% condition all original.

    I believe that you have a Winchester model 65 in 32 WCF, which is a 32-20. It is a very rare and desireable firearm, Made from 1933-47. Pictures would be great. Good condition, about $1400 Gun Traders Guide, 2006. This firearm has two locking lugs, silver, side by side at the rear of the action. A model '94 has one at the very rear of the sliding bolt.     What is the serial number on the rifle (that will help me identify which Model it is)? I suspect that you have a Model 64, which was made in 30 W.C.F. (a.k.a. 30-30 Win). The Model 64 was the last variant of the original Model 1894.

    The Model 65 was a variant of the original Model 1892, and it was chambered for the 218 Bee (most common), the 25-20 W.C.F. (least common), and the 32 W.C.F. (a.k.a. 32-20).

    If all else fails, post a few pictures of it.

    The Model 64 was introduced in January of 1933, discontinued in 1958, with a few parts clean-up rifles made into the early 1960s. The serial number will tell me exactly whan it was made. Winchester offered several variations of the Model 64; (1) Sporting Rifle, (2) Deer Rifle, (3) Carbine {20-inch barrelled version of the Sporting Rifle), and (4) Deluxe Carbine (Deer Rifle with a 20-inch barrel). Each variation has its own value range.
