Ithaca Mod.37 Featherweight 12 Ga.

Hi Guys,
Just purchased one of these on the Auction,received the gun and the slide opens but will not close, I know nothing about these Ithaca's can anyone help ? I will take it to the gunsmith, but i don't want to get took if you know what I mean.

  Having trouble locating front sling swivel for Mod 37 DeerSlayer gun produced in 1970. can anyone help ? Check all mjor distributers no luck keep send Uncle Mike's claiming to fit but doesn't.

  Is it the one that screws into the hold down piece on the barrel ?
  I may have one, but if not you can drill and tap the original hole for a regular sling stud..

  I own a model 37 DS Police Special made in the late 70's. After hours of research I found the swivel at Uncle Mikes. Request one of their catalogs and it will tell you what swivels fit which gun. I purchased my swivels about 7-8 years ago.
