.327 fed mag for CCW

Howdy: I've been seein these ruger sp101 in a .327 fed mag.....Would that be like a 32 cal in a longer case?????Would it be a good caliber for a woman's conceled carry?????any info would be helpful ...Thanks.........

  Short barrel with a very high velocity bullet, ( 1200+ fps), equates to very ugly muzzle blast.
  
  If your going to go with a SP 101, in .327 have the lady in question fire it first if at all possible.
  
  My 2? she would be better off with a SP 101 chambered for 357, but firing the much lower velocity 135 grain personal protection bullets. These are made for the short barreled .38 specials and are much easier to handle as far as muzzle blast, and recoil are concerned.

  I agree with rufe-snow. A .327 will work, of course, but an SP101 in .38 Special loading with Speer's 135 gr. +P load is better.
  
  Practice is the key for any CCW holder. Lower-cost .38 Spl. ammo for practice is readily available. Good luck trying to find any low cost .32 Long or .32 H&R magnum ammo to feed in your .327 magnum.
