Taurus Millennium Pro or Springfield XDM
A friend has consulted me for advice on a concealed carry handgun. He is considering a Taurus Millennium Pro in .40 S & W cal. or a Springfield XDM in .40 S & W cal. I have neither handled nor fired either of these models and could give him no advice as to which to choose. Neither would be my choice but he only asked me for advice as to which of these two. I would appreciate any input from those who have experience with either of these two handguns as to what are the good or bad experiences. Suggestions of other calibers or other models will not be helpful. Thanks.

Of those two, I would pick the XDM. Personally in .45acp I picked tha S&W M&P. 0 -
Having been an NRA pistol instructor for about 20 years I can tell you with no reservations to go with the Springfield!! My Glocks hit the safe the day I bought and fired my XD. This really is a pistol that is loved by most everyone that shoots it! 0 -

I had both the XD 40 and XD 45. Very good choices in my opinion. 0 -
XD is a fine weapon, but the XDM will be a little tougher to hide. I have the XD compact and it is much easier to conceal. 0 -
What a blunder I made. The question was to select between the Taurus Millennium and the Springfield Sub-Compact 3". Had moreammoplz not pointed out that XDM would be difficult to hide I would not have noticed my error. If those who posted recommendations for the Springfield would not recommend the Sub-Compact, please edit your posts. 0 -

The XDM is the better choice of the two firearms. If it fits his hands well and is comfortable for him to shoot, he will like it. 0 -

taurus known to jam and if you are lucky you might be able to hit the broad side of a barn0 -
