Help Identifying Rifle Stock

I need some help identifying this stock. I'm thinking its a large ring Mauser 98 stock (holes are 7 7/8" center to center). See pics. Any help appreciated.

    Looks more like a Remington BDL without the checkering.

    Hole by the rear left side looks like where the ejector box screw would be on an Mauser. Also barrel channel looks to be stepped. I'd go with Mauser. No cutout for a Remington type safety on right side of receiver.

    No cut for a bent bolt handle.

    It's a Mauser large ring for a straight bolt handle.

    I'll guess a std. lenght m-98 small ring (kar-98), no enlarged area for the front ring.
