I have a springfield armory 45 acp 5' with G S P written in script on the right hand side of the barrel. value , collector or shooter?

  It would be best if you could post quality photos of the pistol, for valuation advice from our members.
  
  
  Contact the customer service folks at Springfield, for help on the barrel markings. They have made so many different types and models over the years they might not know what it means. If you give them the serial number, they might be able to track it down.
