Winchester model 670 243 value
Found a Winchester 670 in great shape in 243 caliber with older weaver 3x9x40 steel tube scope. asking price is 425.00. cannot find similar one on auction side, good, fair or bad deal. I know this is economy version of the model 70 any feedback on this model, thanks.

jgr,
The Winchester Model 670:
push feed bolt action (same as post '64 M70)
made 1967 thru 1973
economy version of M70 with;
blind mag. no removable floor plate
stained hardwood stock
mat finish
Check the price of a comparable Remington M700 ADL, they were both no frills competitors when they were on the market.

Unless it is more sought after because of the caliber, the price seems a bit high to me. I have seen a few in 30-06 with scopes, go for between $350-$400 and they were in good shape. Just my thoughts though.
On the other hand, if the rifle was in prestine condition and I wanted it real bad, I can see where someone would be willing to pay it.

I love Winchester push-feed rifles. They are not GLAMEROUS like the holy grail pre-64. They ARE very ACCURATE. If you like something a little different AND economical these are great guns. The 670 was kinda like a cheap model 70 . Some had hardwood stocks-Some walnut-no floor plate. BUY IT 0 -
I like the blind magazines. It even makes the rifle lighter. A lot of the Guys that hunt Dangerous Game have their Hinged plates pinned to guard against the floor plate accidentally opening up during the heat of battle. 0 -
Well after much consideration I bought it for 400.00. The guy selling it was just as nice as the gun. The weaver A/O 3X9X40 is in real good condition, will probably leave the combo alone, it fits and looks right out of that era. should make a great deer and coyote slayer without much invested. thanks to all that had input, JGR2018 0
