Erma barrel liner
A customer has brought in a barrel liner with the Erma logo on the top. The back of the liner has an attachment on it that looks like it would fit into the Mauser action to make it a 22. My question is what is it and am I correct as to the use of this item? Also, is it of any value, if not, I will pitch it or cut it off and use the liner? The unit is on a wooden plank with a notch and fasteners to hold the liner in place. There is a pocket for a wrench which is on the top of the board. The customer died last spring and the wife had it stuck on a corner of his gun cabinet.

You bet it's worth $$. Is it a single shot or does it come with a clip? Photos are a real help in determining value. Mauser collectors look to find these things. 0 -
This was what the original Erma .22 conversion kit looked like, with it's accessories packed in it's wooden carrying case. They were manufactured during the 30's/40's time frame as subcaliber trainers for use in 98 K rifles, 
The complete outfit is worth a lot of money, to a collector. If your is missing parts, not so much.0 -

I sold one like you describe this past year it was a single shot model with pin type wrench to lock into the receiver. It was snapped up for $450.00 sort of a pricey liner if you cut this unit up [:(!][V] 0 -

Thanks for the great information. I have the single shot model I guess. I will throw it on the net and see what happens. I guess using it for a liner would be a little foolish on my part.0
