Smith &Wesson pre model 27 ? PICTURES

I have a smith & wesson 357 mag. 3.5 inch nickel serial # S 76xxx. I was told it is a 5 screw pre model 27 post war in about 95 percent condition and that if I were to join this site I could get some help to determine the approx. value. This is my first post so I hope I did this correctly and someone can help me. THANKS

    Mike you did most everything correct and welcome HOWEVER for us to come up with more the a Guess at value it would be really nice if you can post some close-up in focus pictures of your pistol It sounds like a great piece but pictures will really help. if you look at some of the other post you will see we always prefer pictures .

    Mike, Your gun was made in 1950. Assuming the finish is original and in good shape, that would be a VERY collectible piece for Smith collectors.

    As PS said, good quality pics would be very helpful.

    Mike, if your gun is in 95% condition, and, depending on if you have the original box and tools, you have a gun that could go to $1,000 or more. Really need good pics.

    Mike; I have a 5" bbl model 27 made in 1960 that is 100%. Just remember, the books might give you a "value", but you might not want to let it go for that price. The "books" say mine is worth $750-$800. There is no way I'd sell it for that price. If you keep the revolver in 95% condition, it will only get MORE valuable with time! Welcome to the forum.

    That hunt101 site requires registration to view the pictures. You might try photobucket.com. You can open a free account to store pics and load them onto GB from there.
