Does cheaper ammo make a 9mm shoot less acurate?
Does cheaper ammo make a 9mm shoot less acurate? or am i just getting to be a horrible shot. I was using blazer brass and it seemed less accurate

Some brands of ammo are more accurate than others. Some gun brands are more accurate than others. Some guns are more accurate with a particular brand of ammo. And people are more accurate with certain guns and not with others of the same caliber. In my case I find it is usually operator error, mine. 0 -
Quality, which may be reflected in price in some cases can be a factor. White box Winchester is not noted for outstanding accuracy for example. 0 -

At our last bowling pin match, the winner of the match was shooting his 1911 at some paper plates after the match. He used PMC for the match, and had ten rounds of PMC into the paper plate when he switched to Blazer Brass. The gun would no longer hit the paper plate at 10 yards. Blazer Brass is junk 0 -
9mm as a rule are not noted for match grade accuracy, although there are very accurate 9mm automatics made, they just don't have much of a market share (the Browning HP Competition version was a big flop along with the Beretta 92 Competition version). Since the vast majority of 9mm automatics are intended for military and police issue there has not really been that much development into producing a super accurate 9mm cartridge. My own Beretta Model 92F Competition pistol enjoys a diet of Fiocchi 9mm ammo but it's accuracy falls off slightly if using Winchester or federal.

Hello it depends on what you consider accurate. There is a match shot by Bulls-Eye shooters that is run by the C.M.P this match is shot one handed at both 50 yards and 25 yards the 10 ring is just slightly over 3inches and the best shooters fire a score of 285 or better for 30 shots. This Match was in the past shot mostly with 1911 pistols in 45ACP "PRAISE THE HARD-BALL GUN" but in the last 10 years or so master pistol-smiths like David Sams in Va and others "THE MILITARY MARKSMANSHIP TEAM "pistol smiths have been able to modify the Beretta model 92 used by the military to compete on equal footing with the old standby 1911 . No one shoots Blaser ammo in these matches and yes these are all highly modified guns with very good shooters + very good ammo.I was lucky enough to have shot in these matches for over 32 years at Camp Perry. 0 -
Historically, 9mm has been tossed up in varying factories all over the world to varying specs for military guns. So until fairly recently, there hasn't been a reputation for accuracy with the ammo.
Still, there is absolutely no reason why 9mm luger CAN'T be extremely accurate, it just depends on the load. Careful handloads can make 9mm as accurate as any other match-gun.
And in fact, historically, the most accurate production pistol in the world *IS* a 9mm, the Sig p210.
This is a Swiss made gun, hand-fitted, with a slide-in-frame design that won't leave the factory unless it shoots a 5cm or less (that's 2 inch) group at 50 yards.
As to the question, its not a matter of price, per se, but brand.
There is absolutely no question that some brands of 9mm luger are more accurate than others.
My experience has been that low-end "remanufactured" ammo, is the absolute worst for accuracy. The inexpensive Winchester White Box found at Walmart, actually is NOT that bad, though there is better.
Bullet weight, and barrel twist characteristics can affect accuracy with a particular load, and a particular load may be more accurate in one gun than another.
Also, as mentioned, usually the limiting factor in accuracy isn't the ammo, its the shooter.0
