Voere Tyrol rifle

I have a rifle manufactured in Austria by Voere. Also stamped on the side is Tyrol. It is a model 3000 in 25-06 caliber. I was wondering abouth the qyality, accuracy, history and value of this rifle. My wife purchased it for me as a christmas gift in the early 80's. Any information would be helpful as I cannot find anything on this specific brand and model.

    Voere is an Austrian firearms manufacturer and is still in business.

    This is a photograph of the Voere 3000 which is a variation of the 'improved' Mauser designed by FN but produced by several other countries. Note the solid left side and the more modern design of the bolt shroud. The shroud no longer has the safety as part of the design but it has been moved to the side of the action and works to block the trigger.

    This is one of the earlier versions as indicated by the slightly visible thumb cut on the left side along with the standard M98 Mauser bolt shroud.

    I'll take a chance here to offer some value information. Usually the collectors disagree with my more pragmatic values...

    The M3000 above is listed elsewhere for $795.00 including the Bushnell scope. Given that the prices of all firearms are going up and some folks like to think of most older rifles as 'rare', this price might hold up. However, it's about $300.00 high when a direct comparison to a standard improved model Mauser is used as a base. The scope has little value but is used as an inducement and rationale for the higher price.

    I've bought Cougars for as little $150.00 and the M3000 for $350.00 to $400.00 from retail and private sources. That's my experience.

    The Austrian Voere rifles have been made since the mid 60s...I have a early 90s vintage bolt action model 2165 in 30:06 and its a quality, accurate rifle....Mine was imported by JaegerSports...They currently are not being imported into the US...Does yours have and importers name on the gun?....


    I have not heard of your particular model so have no idea as to its value...but after owning the rifle for almost 30 years you should be able to tell us about its quality and accuracy....[:)]

    It was imported by Marketing Unlimited Inc. Yakima Eashington. I'm afraid to admit that it has spent most if it's life in a closet. I've probably only shot three boxes of shells through it. My son and I recently started shooting more and he is interested in a target rifle. And I wanted to know if this would be a good rifle to start with.

    I have a number of Voere rifles and they are wonderful. I actually visited the factory when I was in Salzberg visiting a pal from work. The Kufstein factory isn't that far away by train. Voere is a very large industrial mfg complex. Firearms are a small part of the company. Non is pretty accurate price-wise I would say. I'm not familiar with you model but quality and accuracy is A-1. If you ever post it on GB please let me know.

    I bought such a rifle on GB within the last two months. It is a 308 Win. I don't remember what I paid for it, but I was the only bidder and it cost less than $400. As I see it, it was a steal at that price. I have a couple of other Voere rifles and they are really good shooters.

    I have one in 7mm Rem. Mag. with no stock made in 71 just looking for more info.
