my speedmaster (mfg oct 39) seems to have a trigger that is offset to the benefit of a leftie.. also is the loading ramp in the stock always on the right?

  I may be suffering from faulty memory here, but I would have sworn that the 24's, 241's and similar Browning pattern .22's had triggers that were "right down the middle".
  Possibly a modification? Pictures??

  Problem solved.. trigger was loose, and being pushed over that way by spring...
  
  New question...what are the two screws for at the top/back of receiver?? POssibly a scope mount.

  First of all,
  A belated welcome to the Forum!
  Secondly, I believe that Lyman used to make a tang type rear sight that used those two holes.
  Fine little rifle by the way.
