We need more info on your 870's.

How old are these three that are jamming? I ran across a 1939 vintage Wingmaster a couple of years ago that jammed consistently.

The front of the ejector plate had not been left square and would hang the rim of every fired case as it came out of the chamber.

    The Wingmasters weren't made until 1950.

    I have a late 60's model wingmaster never had a problem with it ejecting until last year. bought some cheap shells made by estate and they jammed every stinking gun i put them in.

    The barrel date code came up with '39. Highly likely I misread it due to the surface corrosion. Might also have been a parts gun. Did any of the early Wingmasters have the round fore end? Tom's gun had a round, and IIRC, grooved fore end. Definitely said Wingmaster on the receiver though.

    Sounds like an early Wingmaster, the 1st ones were an 870AP. What was the date code on the barrel?

    Wish I could remember the date code. It was one I had helped Tom find at the local gun show. He has since moved to VA. Cosmetics wise, it was in sad shape.

    Mechanically, the slide bars showed very little wear and the bore (after proper application of bronze brush and solvent) was near perfect. After finding and fixing the ejector plate issue it functioned flawlessly.

    I've paid more for Remington 11 barrels than what Tom paid for that complete shotgun.
