Cetme question
What type of Cetme rifle should I buy? There are many out there and I've heard that some are not so good. Please tell me of your experiences. Thanks.

CETME rifles are usually encountered in Century Arms and actual Spanish made CETME sporters.
Century Arms are hit or miss on quality. Some run well, some do not. Same goes for their HK91 type guns.
The few and expensive Spanish ones will run great.
test fire the CETME you buy if you can, otherwise you are rolling the dice.
Now if you just want a HK type weapon, and dont mind the cost, get a JLD Enterprises PTR91.0 -
Unless you can find a Cetme cheap like $400 or less. Get a PTR 91. 0 -

Much better quality than any CAI Frankenstein gun, much less expensive than a real HK made 91.0 -
I own both a Century CETME and a pre-ban HK 91. Both function perfectly, but in the case of these 2 specific arms the Century is more accurate. 0 -
I have owned more than most of all Cetme, PTR, HK, ect. ect. ...for the money the Cetme has never failed..in my experience...not he best looking, but with new furniture.[:)] they are just good durable rifles..nambu 0 -

I'll vouch for what Wehrmacht_45 said. CAI's can be hit or miss. It always seems one 'miss' does a lot of damage to a reputation. I got one in the 'miss' category. It took a lot of rounds and a lot of frustration to get it to the point where it fires consistently. Accuracy is about 4" @100 yds. Which is accurate enough for a battle rifle.
If you can test fire one before you buy it, and it works great you have a great deal. If it jams once or twice per mag then you don't. Save your money and look for another or go with the PTR-91. Those work well and are half the money of even a used HK-91.0
