Mossberg 4x4 Misfires?

Hey all!
I recently bought a Mossberg 4x4 rifle in .30-06, and it's giving me a few issues. about 2-3 time per box of ammo, the rifle doesn't strike the primer hard enough, resulting in a shallow mark on the primer. it does this with factory ammunition as well as reloads. Could this be a headspacing issue?

    bad headspace will show up on the fired ammo. The cases with split, bulge, or show other signs of undo stress.

    You might have a weak firing pin spring, or a bad firing pin as your problem.

    Take the bolt out and use some spray cleaner down the firing pin hole to clean it out. Leave it dry inside and see if you still have the problem.

    Many thanks everyone! I'm actually heading off to Rocky Mountain Rifles next week (my local gunsmith), so I'll have them look at it. (I didn't know I was going until this morning). But now I have a baseline to work off of. ;)

    I have the same Problem with my 06. called the service and they really would not give me an answer. just kept saying send it in. I talked to the supper. if he knew anything or if we can talk to their gun smith. Just kept saying send it in.
    anyone had their mossberg repaired from factory?

    Also I had a another Q. Can I just send in the bolt instead of the whole rifle?

    No send the whole rifle, as they may just send you a new one. And what good is a rifle without a bolt?

    OK cool. we'll do. that would be great to get a new gun. plus the bolt it self is kind of sloppy. Rather have the new mossberg with muzzle break and hair trigger.

    Zag. let me clarify. the bolt in not sloppy. just really easy to unlock/load. little too easy as I have found my self unlcoking it when hunting with out knowing. thats how smoooth it is....little too smooth. Compared to 700 or 70 where it takes a little force at first.
    the rifle is super accurate. and for how light it is, it doesnt kick that bad. best 380 I spent on a bolt action, and everyone loves the look of it.
