Am looking for assembly/disassembly instructions for the Stoeger Luger. I've got the exploded diagrams, but they ain't a helping!

    Anyone familiar with this gun? On my standard Luger the toggle will lock back with an empty chamber, but it won't do it with this one.
    Is that normal?

    There have been a number of posts on those over the years, you might do a search on the Stoeger Luger here. The 9mm reproductions sold by Stoeger seem to be pretty credible, the .22 lr version, not so much. It seems they had/have a fair number of mechanical problems adding up to a pistol that doesn't work very well.

    Usually the problem you describe, can be traced to the magazine. As the magazine "follower" actuates the hold open mechanism after the last shot.

    Recently I shot one of the Stoeger .22 Luger replicas. One of the magazines used wouldn't hold the toggle open after the last shot. It had a polished aluminum base, whereas the ones that worked had a base made out of black plastic.

    You might try another mag to see if that solves the problem, ( Triple K, makes them ).

    Mine has the factory clip, black plastic end, and it stays open after the last shot. Tom

    It is the mag.
    Mine has the plastic mag grip and it holds open on all shots.
    Like the pistol but it really only resembles a luger and the toggle only serves to assist in chambering , it is not a locked breech function as in the P08. But you probably knew that.

    Thanks for the replies. Yeah,toggle only locks back with last shot- empty mag. Shot it first time last night. Fun gun.
