5.56/ .223 case identification

I came across a quantity of cartridge cases marked 5.56 MAL 9-81 They don't appear to have crimped primers, but otherwise look mil-spec. Anyone know the manufacturer?

  Ammo factory in Malaysia, according to my reference.

  Probably 5.56 military loadings. In other words, 55gr should yield 3250fps in a 20in. barrel. It's the Singapore armoury, as they probably have some contract M16's.

  MAL = Syarikat Malaysia Explosives Ltd., Batu-Arang, Malaysia

  Thanks guys for the ID on these. I got about 1000 of these cases, brand new, shiny, shoulder and neck showing annealing like mil-spec, and primed, from a realtor friend cleaning out a rental house for landlord. They were in a box and destined for the garbage dumpster, when I spotted and rescued them. The primers are of unknown make, but appear to be absolutely uniformly seated as if by factory or very meticulous handloader, and are as said not crimped. The brass appears to be heavy-duty, so I'll work up loads as if mil-spec.
