Gun collection
I need to sell a collection of very nice weapons but don't know the value to post on the auction. I am new to this site but an old hand at shooters. Army Veteran 1972. Thank you for any suggestions.

hi everyone
about ten years ago my father deceided to divide his gun collection up between us 5 kids. each receiving 5 or 6 rifles or shotguns. and a couple of handguns. by no means do I consider myself a collector, but I do enjoy shooting as much as time allows. two of the guns are not to be fired. and I have no use for guns I can't use. one a model 1887 winchester, been told is a 10 gauge but not sure. other is a winchester 94 roosevelt commemrative. the question is how do I find out what they are worth, what would be the best way to sell these I've heard I can not ship a gun, so if i sell on GB how do you deliver. thanks....Clay0 -
Specific details of each firearm along with clear, closeup pics, if possible, would be a big help. Otherwise, you can check the "closed" auctions and compare your guns to those that have actually sold. Ignore the open auctions; some of those guns have been relisted for years. 0 -

...Well, knowledge is everything in figuring price. This time of year is the slow time, you will not recieve the "best" price for your guns until this fall; unless everything you have is rare and sought after.
...So, IF you wait until the fall when you can get the top dollar, you have plenty of time to determine at least a good ballpark starting price.
...Go to the auction side and find comparable guns for sale, including condition,(CLOSEST to identical) put them on your watch list and track them...some will sell, some will not; but you will be able to at least get an idea of the value.
Track as many as you can, this will help a lot in getting familiar with the "asking" price vs the "selling" price, which are two very different values usually...[;)]

I am a disabled Army Veteran and need to sell the following weapons to survive. S&W SW40VE with two clips. S&W 329PD 44 Mag Airlite PD, Glock 26 9X19, 2 ten round clips, 1 19 round clip, Beretta U22 NEOS two clips, 12 Gauge 3 inch New England Firearms, Pardner Model SBI, SKS Norinco/China with bayonet, ammo bandolier, Taurus Judge ultra lite 410/45 Colt 5 shot. All weapons are in pristine condition, original owner, very few rounds fired and most have original boxes. All assistance is appreciated. 0 -

All these firearms are of recent manufacture/availability, and are found commonly on the two large net gun auctions. Check these auctions for actual selling prices, to get a ballpark value for your guns.
Unfortunately times are real tough now for lot of folks. Not the best of times for selling any kind of stuff. If you want to move it quickly to cash out, your going to have to price it below wholesale. No matter what the round count or condition, these are still used, second hand firearms.0 -
Good advice already given.
I find a nice way to get a sense of what things are going for is to look at completed auctions for the last 90 days, and sort them by GREAtest NUMBER OF BIDS first.
That way you can see what actual bidding interest is. When multiple individuals are bidding on a gun (or better, multiple examples of a gun), you can feel pretty confident that their recent bids represent the true market value, and you'll probably be able to get roughly the same amount in your own auction.
In your case, pretty much all of those guns are common guns that should attract a number of buyers, and you shouldn't have a hard time getting good estimates of true market value by looking at current and past auctions.0 -
These should sell quite easily. You won't get rich of these models, but some are in the $400 and up range. 0 -
