when looking for a Lee Clasic Loader for a 300 win mag all i can fine is the LEE LOADER 300 Weatherby Magnum does any one have the specs i need to know how much difference the cases are between the 2

Just laid my hands on a Savage 110 Tactical in 300 Win mag. What is the suggested sighting distance? (1.5 inches high at 1oo yards) Being as I live in North Carolina and the furthest shot I would ever make here would probably be no longer than 300 yards. Would however have a chance to go after mule deer and antelope in South Dakota next fall. Scope is a 3 X 9 Leopuld, bullets will be either 150 or 180 grain 0 -

A quick look at my Hornady 7th edition tells me that the two cases very almost in every dimension. The head size is the same at 0.532. the Wby case is 0.205 longer than the Win. case. All other dim. very to a few thousandths. Are they interchangeable??? Not even close. Find a reloading manual, and you will see the diff. HAWKSHAW0 -

Lee loaders in 300 Win Mag are not all that uncommon, if I recall the only difference between the Lee Loader and the Lee Classic loader is that the classic had a hand priming tool with it. Now, the Lee Target Model loader, that had a neck reamer, case sizer, primer pocket cleaner, and a micrometer adjustable body and they are much harder to find.
Keep checking E-Bay and Gun Broker, they do turn up.
Edit to add: In fact, there's a Lee Loader in 300 Win Mag on E-Bay right now, just put Lee Loader in search.
