hello all, i need your help please!
im in need of a value for a pistol i have.

Ruger MKII 4" bull barrel target

    IMHO a modified pistol will NEVER bring as much as one in original condition as shipped from the factory. UNLESS it was modified by a well known person like Jimmy Clark or John Giles . Your pistol WOULD be of interest to Bulls-Eye Target shooters but they would want to test the pistol BEFORE purchase. What all that means to you is the fact that it will be very hard to place a value on your pistol.If you can find a shooting club that has a BULLS-EYE program and you could get those shooters to look at it and maybe be allowed to test that would bring the best price otherwise the other posters price of $200.00 is fairly close. It might bring more but I don't believe much more.

    Thanks for putting up the good picture, that helps.

    In the real world, someone is only worth what someone else is willing to pay for it.

    So your gun is worth exactly what someone else offers you for it, and not a cent more or less.

    In your case, since there aren't any identical models on the market to compare to, any number anyone gives you is necessarily going to be an estimate.

    If you want to know the "true" value of the gun, the **ONLY** way to know for sure is to put it up for auction and see what it gets.

    All that said, this particular gun is a bull-barrel blued Ruger Mk II. This isn't a scarce gun. Yours has had three modifications I can see, almost certainly put on there by someone who wanted to use the gun for bullseye type shooting: An aftermarket compensator, a match-type trigger with aftertravel adjustment screw, and Pachmayr grips.

    As mentioned, none of these mods are really going to increase the value of the gun much, unless the gun was built by a known pistolsmith (and unless you can prove this with provenance, yours wasn't. . .even if it was, if you follow me).

    I'd estimate yours at $250 +/- $25.
