Para G.I. Expert 1911

Has anyone shot one of the para experts? I have seen these for a round $500.00 and wondering if they are a good 1911.

  I don't know anything specifically about this "Expert". Another outfit that was selling the top dollar .45's, started selling the Philippine made .45's, using a fancy name like that a while back.
  
  Times are tough now for lots of folks. The market for $1000 plus handguns isn't as great as it was a couple of years ago. These guys trying to sell high dollar .45's are really hurten.
  
  Para has to stay in business somehow, I wouldn't be at all surprised if these $500 "Expert" pistols of theirs weren't out of the P.I., Brazil or some other low cost gun manufacturing area.,

  The Para's are now made in Pineville, NC.
  The expert is a entry level 1911 that they came out with.
  The write ups I've read are all good, like all Para's made.
