boyscout rifle

I have winchester 9422 boyscout rifle with all the engraving and
box. This gun has never been out of the box and has never been handled at all. I know this because it was given to my father when it was brand new and he gave it to me some time ago. My dad keep it under his bed for years and i now keep it in a safe. I was wondering what this gun is worth because i have never seen one in this good of shape on this or any other site. thanks

    Most winchester commerative guns are not worth much more than the gun itself, however I have seen a few commeratives bring better money one being a boy scout gun the other being a john Wayne commerative. The fact that you have the box to go with it really helps. I would guess if you stuck it up for auction it would fetch $1100- $1500, better if you waited until the fall season.

    When you say you havent seen one this nice what do you mean? The wood? You cant get much better than unfired in box.

    what i meant by this "nice" i was refering to the untouched never out of box condition. thank you for the speedy reply

    these were issued in 1985 to commerate the 75th anniversary of the boy scouts of america. the 30th edition of the blue book list two models boy scout 100%=$1000, eagle scout 100%=$6000. there were 15,000 of the boy scout and 1,000 of the eagle scout manufactured. at auction either model would most likely bring more. these two winchester commemoratives have done nothing but go up in value as long as they are 100%.
