Rem. model 30 / 1917 Enfield question
I have a barrel chambered in .30 Springfield for a Remington Model 30 which is the commercial version of the model 1917 Enfield military rifle made by Remington, Eddystone, Etc. so my question is does this barrel have the same thread size and diameter as any of the military versions? I sometimes see sporterized military actions on the auction side for a reasonable price and wondered if there is a potential project in this combination.Thanks.

Frank DeHaas in Bolt Action Rifles said they have the same thread. 10 turns per inch, square thread, 1.125" major diameter, .800" shank.
