Sako threads

Can anyone tell me what the threads are on a Sako reciever. Thanks.

I'm sure it depends on which one but it might be 1.062" dia. x 1.5mm pitch.

336 Marlin is correct in that you need to give us a model number and a serial number wouldn't hurt. There are several different action sizes that correspond to different threading. I've rebarreled a few so I know of at least 6 differnt threadings in just the pre garcia Sakos alone.- Regards, Mike

LSandBinc- The threads are 1.00" by 16 TPI. Barrel shanks vary some in length. You should be good for sako barrels from the L579 thru 1988 or so, and probably beyond that into the Model 75. I can't say the 75 barrels will work for sure but I have seen a couple L579s with Mod. 75 barrels and the owners were happy. I just couldn't get the particulars on the jobs. - Sorry this is so late in coming- Mike
