Ottway Sighting Scope

I recently came into a sighting scope marked ..... W. Ottway & Co. L made in Ealing London Sighting Telescope .... 1-15 power with tripod and case. The brass scope tube is 20" long. The wooden case is green with white lettering and says ....... MK.1 Regd N0 1312 Telescope Sighting No. 9AMK.1 Anyone know anything about them? Info about age and value would help and be appreciated. It's British military but that's about all that I know about it.

    I should add that the tripod is marked with the military ordinance flaming cannon ball and the box shows the stamp of what may be Walters Co. 1916 under the paint job. This may be U.S. equipment that was worked on in England.
