Browning recoil stock with gear

I was in a shop today and saw a browning recoil pad that had some sort of gear that turned to absorb recoil. It had about 2 inches of grey rubber as the pad. Anyone know what this goes to?

  They go to any rifle or shotgun that kicks harder than you like. You adjust the amount of recoil you want with an allen wrench through a hole in the side of the stock.
