johnson gartman

gentlemen, i need your assistance i purchased a rifle today it says johnson-gartman on the barrel very heavy barrel chambered in 220 swift barrel is about 1inch thick at least on the bottom of the wood is a plate that reads Lt M H Moseley D1745119 very nice rifle looks like mauser bolt action thank you

    There is a Johnson-Gartman catalog reprint available if you search this; Johnson-Gartman Custom Guns 1958 Catalog.

    thank you I will check it out again thanks I think this must be custom made for moseley this rifle is extremely heavy

    I think the first character in Lt. Moseley's service number is an 'O', for officer, in case you are going to research the individual. (Enlisted ranks had prefixes of NG (Guardsmen), US (AUS, or Army of the United States, which were draftees), and RA (Regular Army, who were enlistees).
