NFA AOW classification
I went through my old scuba gear, and found some bangsticks with various caliber power-heads. They fire .44 Rem. Mag, 12ga, and 410ga.
Is the powerhead an AOW? A short explaination of your answer would be welcome, also. Thanks, Joe

Those firing shotgun shells are sold with and you are expected to use a 26" or longer stick, which would remove them from being classified as AOWs. Using a stick under 26 inches would make them an Any Other Weapon by definition. 0 -
Even the 357s have a minimum length. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bang_stick
Don't take it off the shaft, unless it is to attach to another shaft.
As far as justifying answer, sorry dude, that was done by the ATF- I can't justify them![:p]

Thanks for the replies, fellas. The powerheads are removeable, but I'll keep the sticks on them, if that's all it takes to remain legal. Best, Joe 0
