CZ 75 question
I am thinking about buying an older CZ 75 with the round trigger guard and matt blued finish. Do all magazines for this model interchange, or would I need to look for specific ones for spares? Thanks for your replies.

All of the CZ-75 high capacity magazines will interchange but be very cautious about using the early factory 10 shot magazines which have a flexible plastic bottom. The early CZ-75 holds it's magazines very tightly and the flexible bottom on the magazine gives you virtually nothing to grasp onto when you have to pull the magazine out of the pistol (the floorplate simply bends). Other than that the early CZ-75s are great pistols.

The CZ-75&85 mags fit. Like Mark said don't get any of the 10 rounders. 0 -
If you find one of the VERY EARLY cz 75's, which you probably will not, you may have an issue. All of the pistols i've seen after about 78 were ok, and it was only one made in 76 i think that had the problem with the mags not quite working. If it is marked CZ75B you will not have a problem at all. 0 -
IIRC - the Czech made CZ-75s were banned from import until around 1993 - ALTHOUGH - the Italian made/licensed copies made by Tanfoglio and imported by EAA were brought in to the USA in the '80's. The EAA/Tanfoglio WITNESS line is an "improvement" on the CZ, as the safety can be applied with the hammer down, and was/is available in a wider variety of sizes, calibers and configurations. I know a dealer/FFL who brought a dozen or so, CZ-75's into the US from Canada in the late 1980's and was fined for selling them. What I have found with my personal firearms is that the CZ-75/Czech mags are slightly different with respect to the mag follower slide hold open step - not all of them will lock open the slide on the last round. 0
