TURKISH MAUSER PARTS
I recently purchased a Turkish Mauser 8mm Bolt action rifle. I am looking for help and knowledge on the equipment needed to mount a scope on the rifle. So far the only thing I have been able to find is the 98k mount I don't know if this is what I need any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks

I would give the customer service folks at www.brownells.com a call. The Turk Mausers had been imported for years, by the container load. Brownells with all the different types of bases and mounts they carry, would have the best idea which one(s) would be correct for your rifle.
As far as equipment is concerned you will need at the very least a solid substantial drill press, equipped with a adjustable drill press vise. Correct size drills, taps and the associated hand tools used to drill, tap and clamp objects etc.0 -
It will probably cost more to scope your turk then you paid for it. But, IMO, the best way to scope a Muaser rifle is to drill and tap the front and rear rings for either onr or two piece scope mounts. This is a job for a good gun smith not bubba. Another way to go is the scout scope method where the mount replaces the rear sight. But, back to your turk, unless your barrel's bore is really good and you think it will shoot really good, then why bother with scoping it? 0
