BAR .338 Win Mag

I am trying to order extra magazines for my BAR S# 2748M69.
Barrel says "CALIBER .338 WIN. MAG. Only
Patent Pending"

Other side say BROWNING ARMS COMPANY
MADE IN BELGIUM down the barrel at the start of the action is a crown like acorn looking thing with P | V inside it

Comparing the mag to those at midway usa it looks like:

This is a Mark 2 Mag.

My mag has the ramp down to the indentation of the clip

NOT LIKE

This one has an indentation instead of a ramp down and the pushup piece on this picture does not line up like the M2 pushup does with the ramp.

How can I be sure the barrel or gun has not markings except enscribed bear with scrolls on right side of action with Ram on the left side.

    One more piece of info. I pulled the mag out of the gun and compared the pushup plastic piece in the mag more closely. to the pictures although my clip has a ramp looking thing on the side of the mag the plastic push up more closely matches the mag that is not a Mark II.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    the mark II was released in 1993 anything before is just the regular BAR mag

    if it is post 1992 then brownells has it cheaper than midway. It is item #149000006

    I can't find anything close to your serial #

    Thanks for the info. I read the link you posted great info. My serial number ends in M69. I can be sure it is just a BAR WIN MAG. It is odd that the mag looks like the MII Mag. with a non MII plastic push up in it?

    If I am not mistaken, the BAR, and the BAR MK II Safari's both use the same magazine. Have you looked on the auction side to see what is available there? The plastic thing you are referring to is called the follower, and the sloped/ramp looking thing in front of it is the feed ramp.

    Ok so I definitely have a 1969 BAR .338 Win. Mag. I will order additional magazines thank you.

    Has anyone ever machined these rifles to remove the mag door and create a standard magazine that would hold 9+ rounds?
