Winchester Model 9410
I've been watching the prices of the 9410 on your auctions. I'm curious as to what is causing this gun to demand the $800/$1000.00 prices that the people want for them? I have one and a few people have asked me to sell. I'm thinking about it but I'm unsure as to what to start out at. Any ideas?

As soon as the company announced it was closing, the prices started being jacked up. Now it appears every thing produced under the Winchester name, by which ever actual company is being offered as a collector item. The vast majority are over-priced shooters. What you should ask for yours and what you can expect to get will depend directly upon it's condition. The better you can estimate the condition the more accurately you can gauge the price. Post some good clear photos here so we can see the conditon to help you to an asking price. 0 -
I bought this gun new when it first came out. It's been shot 4 times. Cleaned and oiled and has been in the gun cabinet (oiled) for the past 5 years. It has the checkered walnut stock. 0 -
Top dollar will be demanded for guns that are still NIB. Guns lightly used like yours will be next. If it were mine, I would put it up for auction here on Gunbroker, use really good clear photos (and show the gun completely with several closes ups of both sides, top and bottom with attention to the action) on my auction, and I would start it at $700 to attract interest, because a lot of guys won't open an auction starting at $1100 figuring it is beyond their budget. Anyone can say it is a $1000 gun, but if no one is bidding they are probably wrong. Start it lower and let the demand set the sale price. And Good Luck!

I totally agree with He Dog with one tiny exception: start it at $699. Psychologically, it attracts buyers as a "$600 range" gun as opposed to a "$700 range" gun. Ask any car dealer why they offer used cars at $9,999 rather than $10,000. It makes one dollar sound like a thousand. [:D]0 -
Its a lever action 410 made by a company that is gone. The 9422, 9417 market is about the same. Collectors want them in the box. Start it a penny with no reseve, unless you are a NR (not rated) seller.

I just gave an NIB 9410 case colored gun to my Dad's doctor yesterday. Now he takes extra special care of him! Who says healthcare is not affordable?.... So I guess the answer is no...[:D]0 -

You would have to play it with my Dad. [:D]...I only have one 9417. 3 years ago you could buy these things for $325-$400.0
